Cycling in Sodwana

Going to Sodwana for a long weekend and looking to do some cycling while there don't want to interrupt my training for K2C. Does anyone know if there are any good trails around?

Nothing official that I know of, buuut, if you can get permission to ride through ozabeni I'd recommend it. Drove through there a few years back and it is awesome. To get there leave Sodwana, hook left after Mbazwana as if you're going back to hluhluwe and ozabeni comes up on your left. The track through ozabeni ends up back at Sodwana Campsite-E section

Ya there are also a couple of forestry roads between the Mbazwana shopping complex (I'm being generous here) and Lake Sibaya on which you can get good, decent mileage without having to traverse hectically thick beach sand.

 

When travelling back to Mbazwana Spar from the beach, instead of swinging a left to the spar at Jock Morrison, carry on going straight past the "clinic" and the liquor store and you'll arrive at a stop street. Turn right at that stop street and thats the beginning of the forestry roads.

I have spent quite a lot of time in and around lake Sibaya and further north to Black Rock.Pretty sandy and not really good riding
