Having a Silverback may make me a bit biased, but with their 2015 range, Silverback have really improved their range significantly.

I hope their "Value for money" and After sales service philosophy remains, because to me that has been their biggest plus over the bigger brands.

Perhaps you should start a thread dedicated to that topic. There are sure to be others with same problem and there might be those who have had success in getting an OH into MTB'ing. Can't hurt to ask for advice. Oh, wait, this is The Hub....

assuming you guys tried? did your OH say why they didn't like it? granted it's not for everyone but i do think circumstances make it difficult to just "get" it.

My wife is in the Medical field, so anything with a slight amount of risk is out of the question. She would love it if I didn't enjoy MTB'ing.

Funny how my post on Silverback turned into a discussion about our better / other halves :D

Single Scoop is the 1x11 with Bluto. Double Scoop is the 2x10. Fatbikes make no sense in SA, but they look like tremendous fun. Can't wait for the Double Scoop!!!

Would love to try a fat bike, but I do agree, they don't make sense, especially here in JHB.

That is true, but does a bike have to make sense to be fun? :D
