I've also been told that running assists with bone density where cycling and swimming will not. My physio said to me after a broken ankle that some running is not a bad idea, just be careful though because injuries due to over training are far more common with runners that with cyclist of almost any discipline.

 

Did I mention that I quite enjoy running (flame suit on)!

 

I suppose balance is the key here as with most other things in life.

I've been wanting to start trail running for a while and have actually started last week. Same as with road cycling (road running) it bores me so had to opt for trail.

 

What do you guys think? Anybody else doing both?
