Out on the East the guys do mostly sand road ride form Benoni to Loskop dam. Between 150 and 200 k's. If interested I can find out the route.

I'm planning on doing my long overdue Gran Fondo on Sunday. Starting at Avianto - do all blue routes - head to Heia along the Cradle MTB route, do blue, red and yellow at Heia and then head back to Avianto. 

 

Should get me over 100km with a fair amount of hard riding.
