That hombre is a weight weenie no doubt.

He chooses his equipment carefully.

That's the diligence of a multiple Grand Tour winner.

Could be the number board.

Wonder whether the replacement also did not have the extra weight of a power meter.

Then does the climb with two empty 40g bottle cages... hmm

“There are a lot of reasons to change a bike. Like tubulars, which [may] not be able to be raced for 200km, but they can last for 30km or 40km,” said Contador, before joking. “My bikes don’t have one motor. They have five. And this talk of motors? That’s a joke, that’s something from science fiction.”

Now that's bollocks init mate?

Interesting side story:

Yesterday former Cofidis rider, turned TV motorbike pundit, Missimiliano Lelli got himself suspended from the race fore a day after the race jury alleged that he had been helping riders up the climbs.

We've had two winners from the break in the last two days but we're likely to see an end to that run today with the sprinters' teams looking to take control. Michael Matthews and Elia Viviani have already notched up victories in the sprint. Along with André Greipel, these two have to be the favourites for today.

Seen this a lot so far this Giro. Must be confirmation that the Spez is the fastest bike in the world. Why then is it always in the front? ????

Tinkoff or Astana trim same same. Plus Quickstep sure to be up front today.

In the Saxo days it always seemed Berto was fending for himself. This Tinkoff variation really ride hard up front to keep him well positioned like today for example.
