typing apostrophe's in posts that include quotes

I've finally pinpointed a pattern, if you guys could test it out.

I can type an apostrophe in a new post - but when typing in a post that includes a quote, it doesn't work.

 

Is it just me?

I've tried with Firefox and Safari - same result. a

ok maybe it is PEPCAK but I cant fathom what, it seems to work intermittently.

this only started happening after the recent change with the navigation going onto the right.

Every post is stored in a sql database

 

single quote is reserved and indicates data type varchar or text

double quote be used to quote a single quotation mark...if that makes sense

Perhaps it is a test for Uni, to see if she can post on the hub without the use of the apostrophe
