Maybe we keep the doping acussations till after the Tour for when we are bored again.

Maybe we can just focus on the actual race while we can?

Yes.. now will a break survive today?

Ryder, Roddie and maybe Dan? Think the other boys will just try and hold today after yesterday's efforts.

I am sure that Qdog will put in a huge effort on the second last climb to gap it.

We've heard so many stories over the years about what happens sometimes to riders after a rest day.

If you aren't careful with what you do on a rest day, the body can switch into 'recovery mode' and start shutting down to start the process of rebuilding. That's exactly what riders don't want, so they'll generally go on a tempo 2 - 3 hr ride on the rest day to try and prevent this from happening.

But it doesn't always work out that way, so we often see riders have a shocker after a rest day with dead legs, etc. Seems to me that AC and Nibs both had that yesterday.

They're both still champions and that's not going to suddenly change overnight. I fully expect both to bounce back, and when they do I won't be suspicious of overnight doping. I'll just take it that they had the age-old issue of "bad day after a rest day syndrome".

BERT maybe, Nibs is done. Apparently his coach said he lost his head after day 2 already and Astana will now target stage wins.

Agreed! The tour is why we chatting and not the dark side. Let's stick to the race itself, conditions and terrain.

somebody mentioned it earlier, the biggest battle froome has won is the mental one!

Maybe Danny T can get into the break again.. some big KOM points during the stage today.

I agree with you....why not just give credit where it is due. Surely Froome has been tested......and as a a stage winner, will he not be tested more so? And if tests show he is clean..............then accept that he is better than the othe riders so far??!! Sjoe....Some peeps have a serious inferiority complex.........

Hmm not so much LA was also tested to death and came up "clean" better budget = being ahead of the curve.

Not committing that he is or isn't, but history is not on his side.

Today we will see the peloton breaking into different groups earlier. Those who don't have goat legs will just hope to stay upfront.

Daniel has proven himself although he lost the polka yesterday. He has earned his place upfront and the senior riders respect by now.

Ja. I am just wondering if the big effort that Thomas has been and is still doing is going to be an issue for them later on, we know Porte always has 1 shocking day. They will need to manage their efforts very carefully. . And the rest as I've said have to let Sky do all the work during the stage and hope some cracks appear.

So no rider has EVER been that dominant without cheating? You state it's a fact. Please substantiate that FACT with proof. You don't need to go back to the beginning, just the last 50 years is fine.

Ps: please don't misconstrue me pointing out BS arguments as support for Froome.

My sincerest apologies if I offended you there.

I'm not anti-Froome (although I admittedly have a keen dislike for Sky), just for the record. No need to bicker about it, but this sort of performance is not characteristic of the "cleaner" era. Anyway you look at it, you haven't seen a rider, without a doping offence against his name, ride all of the main Tour contenders (especially with such a strong field) of his wheel at will. It hasn't happened.

So, if he is clean (which is a possibility you can't discount) this is a remarkable ride historically.
