Sooo....can one assume that you can then run a decent volume rear takkie in the frame safely.

 

Have you guys by anychance seen any older version 26" pikes running a 650B wheel with decent rubber on?

 

Comb through this.

A couple years worth of end user experience regarding which 26 forks work for 650b.

32mm Pikes? I doubt you'll be able to fit decent size rubber in there. I've got a set of chunky 650b wheels in the shop at the moment if you'd like to try though.

Thanks .....but I do not own the prospective frame and fork yet to check .... doing my homework first.

 

You have lot's of nice toy's lying around your workshop or desk!

Not many of them mine, unfortunately.

 

One of them happens to be an old 32mm Pike, and the answer is no.

Not too fat.

My Shova with 2.35 HD's doesn't have heaps of side clearance & it tapers down (towards the pivot).

 

650B in 2.25 might be good though.

probably best to keep a shova real with 26er wheels and fork.

 

Just looking at the geo, it is amazing how the newer generation bikes geo have changed or rather evolved.
