The full road closure 5K to go help with congestion with short and long groups. Must do for me as its practically on my doorstep although I'm likely to do the shorter 65 as iv'e just started cycling after injury lay-off.

The way the start times are worked out, we try to keep the racing categories ahead of the shorter groups on the final 15Km.

The full road closure is also to ensure safety for the categories sprinting for prize money/prizes, in that they don't have to contend with cars and cones.

Have you got a licence to race in the elite category?

I'm in for this one again. Basically last one before the big CTCT. Haven't decide if ill race VA or tandem yet. Races are all getting so expensive I hold onto my bucks till last minute and enter day before entries close. Need to make up for fluffing up that deceptive false flat sprint last 2 years. 2 years ago went way to early and ran out of steam, last year my tandem partner popped with 20M to go and lost it on the line.

That false flat at the end catches a lot of people out, and I'm fortunate to be at the start/finish - it happens every year, and you'll see emotions of joy and disappointment within metres of each other.

VA last year was a tough race. A break of 8 put almost 5 minutes into the peloton (at the finish line), and I still remember Spinnekop's face when he crossed the line (he was in that space called "no-man's land".

The best, though, was in 2012 was when the finish line was even further up the road - lots of gripes about the finish that year - a second false flat just before the line.

yup already paid for it and printed it out.

You should get a hard "credit card" one in the post. I haven't got mine yet but last year it arrived fairly early in the year if I remember correctly. I like the red this year!
