When I shouted keep your line, it was due to you missing my front wheel by a few mm in length.

I know you where drinking water and chatting but doesn't excuse the fact that swerving so severely causes accidents.

I know you where shocked as you had no words, well no real words mostly just the F and S word as you insulted me advising me i in any case wont win the race... Mmm who would have thought.

We'll as i kept calm telling you moves like that cause accidents your buddy backed away while you kept swearing.

Now from what i know that is what disqualifies people and ban them from races? You kept swearing and shouting up till i passed you.

So rider nr 888 at the momentum 55km mtb race. You have no manners, no sportsmanship and hopefully wont get any race time.

You reckon he's here?

Hope you feel better now.

Dale i see you are a roadie, if this was on the road at 65 would you still think its is not warranted?

As a Mtber i have seen how dangerous it is when another cyclist just swerves and knocked a fellow cyclist.

Sad for this guys response... Cycling, running whatever it might be it is extremely poor form and shows a complete lack of sportsmanship.

So yes, if even a few pll read this and re look their aggressive nature on the trail or race trail i feel better. If nr 888 reads this and is sorry or relooks his actions next time i am also happy.

ag shame tog- grow a beard, cook with fire,be a man whatever just get over it...

I take it that from your comment you find swearing fellow riders ok? Just like riders who litter, riders who cheat so too must this practice if aggressive and abusive trail riders be put to a end.

He might not be, so what? As RoboJedi said, maybe some else rethinks their behavior. The way people act is MTB races lately is just ridiculous. Just moving on like has been said by someone else will not improve the situation at all.

No Guy, i find all the behaviour you mention just as discourteous as the next fellow,in fact i detest it..but ranting on a forum after said deed has been done solves nothing.hence my comment.

Don't mistake my honesty for rudeness.

Respect for being 65 and still riding though!

I get that swearing at other cyclist is very inappropriate and I would not do it but sometimes people really test my patience. I want to state this as a question. When I enter races I always do the longest distance available, and usually end within the last 10%. When I am on my last legs and the ultra route joins the 40 or 70 guys I usually end up with the racing snakes. Now I get that they are serious and want to win or what ever, but if I ride a racing line downhill/uphill/singletrack and they start freaking out behind me and start swearing at me to get out the way I get really mad. I will ALWAYS ALWAYS get out their way if it is possible, but usually my technical skills are of such that it is not possible for me to leave the line that I am in, what is the proper way to handle this situation? Am I in the wrong, should I stop and let them all pass? I feel that I can stick to my racing line and if you want to come past me, it is up to you to make a plan(if it is not an overtaking zone).
