Ksyrium Elite S or Ksyrium SR

Hi,

 

Anybody know the difference between these two wheels?

 

I cant seem to figure out which is better of these two wheels in terms of weight etc.

 

I have a choice and cost is not a factor.

Are you open to other suggestions, like Campagnolo/Fulcrum? Costum build wheels might also be a good option

The SE's are no longer in production replaced by the SLS, but are the better wheelset as they have carbon hub shell where the S's have full Alu hub. So there will be a slight weight difference but other than that no difference. Both are bullet proof wheels.

Been riding my elites for 5 years of big milage and dirt roads and never had to change a bearing or true a wheel.

The SR is basically a Ksyrium front wheel with a R-Sys rear wheel (in other words a upgraded SL wheel set with a weight saving of +-50grams) i would definitely go with the SR over the Elite.

 

I wouldn't consider the R-Sys but should you want to spend in that bracket rather turn to Fulcrum Racing Zero, Shamal Ultra,EA90 SLX or Zipp 101 (discontinued)

 

 

I had the R-Sys,SR, Elite and SL Premium, till today I still got the SL Premium as they just feel better IMHO.

I currently have a set of campag sciroccos, entry level I know but I quite like them And also a set of edge slr 200 which are brilliant. Lets see how I go with the Sr
