Ahh..think I must put my engineering/CAD skills to use...might be a market for 96 bcd narrow wide rings? Even if I only make my own...

dunno if there's enough of a demand for them. I know the kitted guys ran a poll to see which sizing options were most in demand and are bringing out 1 or 2 other options.

Will have a very "custom" single speed then..if I go ahead and make my own.. :whistling:

Could think of some interesting marketing for it. "The only thing more fun than a 69 is my 96... mm bcd SS" :w00t:

Saw it now, sommer brightened my day...nothing bums one out more than getting new toys and not being able to play with them...itching to finish my single speed build..

temporarily run it with the 30T middle ring from the crankset... at least you can ride the build and get the feel even if you do spin out

Not quite, if your crank is 96 then the new 94 might not work

will have to measure...just did a quick  google search before starting the thread

Excuse my igorance, but of it's for a single speed isn't a NW ring kind of redundant? A normal 30 or 32 tooth ring for the crank should work just as well, or is my thinking flawed?

True, just wat to have the "gear" in place in case I decide to go 1 x 10 later. Same reason for using a normal hub and not a single speed specific hub..

Other problem is that I have a 30T gear on the middle position currently, thus will have to go super small in the back or peddle my a$$ off and go nowhere...

Just ride hills!!!

Maybe you could start a new trend for 'Uphill' events instead of 'Downhill', might be interesting.
