In DL for this one. Once you over the hill it's resonantly flat until the Cradle.

There is that looong drag up to Maropeng. The gradient isn't too bad, but it carries on a bit.

Hard race first time in Elites for Berge & dale, got dropped half way up

Then eventually I started catching peeps and before I knew it we caught 6 other guys and we had a nice pace line going. but the va breakaway group us on the caves road, kinda played ying yang with them just before the final circle and they left for good

THink our group got tired, we were pushing hard all they way.

Finished with a 2:45, 10 minute improvement from last year.

Not at elite level yet but atleast I am improving

I was racing in the northcliff kit.

Hard race though

new Max power of 340 :o

TSS of 325

IS of 1.09

No wonder I was dead after that

I also had a tough introduction to vets racing...dropped by the lead VA group at around the 10km mark, formed a small group with 2 other riders until the VB leaders caught us. Stuck with them through the easy flats until the cradle then had a bumpy ride through the cradle with one other VA rider. Tough racing vets, unfortunately I'm not there yet...and the ride on Saturday was a rude awakening to that fact  Finished in the last couple of riders in the VA group.

Remember You! I had the 225 racing kit. We had a good group, guys just faded last 10km. We could have been below 2:40.

Yup ever since the VA's passed we started slacking, but we did work well together.

so when I saw the fence I knew I had a little juice left and that 1 km sprint finish was the longest on my life !! ;D
