I entered on Sunday morning through the Cycle Events site, no problem.

It did however force me to purchase a new CyclingSA licence, even though mine only expires at the end of Feb (supposed to be valid for a rolling 12 months from date of previous licence)

Are you sure...?

CSA licences usually expire on the last day of the year, regardless of when you purchased it.

That was indeed the case for licences purchased for the 2014 season.

However for 2015 licenses, the license (not including the racing license which is still for the year) will be valid for 12 months from the day of purchase.

In the case of the OP though, I would think the former would apply.

CSA membership is valid for 12 months from when you purchase it - effective from when, who knows? Probably from the 2015 renewal date.

FUll racing licence is valid from Jan-Dec only - UCI rule.

As with most things "Cycling SA" related, its a rubbish new system to be honest as unless you register on new years day, your racing license and standard license will never by in sync.
