Time for my own road bike

Hi guys

I have done a lot of road cycling with my hard tail 29er and I believe the time has come for a road bike. (after testing a friends road bike.....big mistake....hahaha)

I don't want to spent a lot of money and was wondering if any of you have any knowledge of the Raleigh Revenio 1.0?

I saw one that is not to expensive, but if it is not worth the money, I would rather save up some more.

I am not opting for a sub 3 cape argus, just a little easier and faster than a 16 kg hard tail.

I have been looking into XC bikes as well, but at this stage it will be cheaper to keep my bike and by a cheap road bike.

Thats a very nice bike, the right size and everything...... but about double of what I had in mind.

I found the raleigh really cheap, thats why I am wondering if its an okay bike. The specs that I can find online is:

Component Group  BrakesetTektro dual pivot Shift LeversShimano 2300 Front DerailleurShimano 2300 Rear DerailleurShimano 2300 CranksetFSA Tempo 52/42/30t PedalsRoad pedal w/ toe clips Bottom Bracketsealed cartridge

And it doesn't seem to have a carbon fork.

I can get it for 2500. Will that be wasted money? I am open for inputs and suggestions  its just the price of the raleigh that is very attractive to my bank statement....

Cool. Thanks for the input. If its going to be that heavy Ill give it a skip!

The Schwinn is pretty cool. My wife has one and she is very happy.

With an inseam of 83, a 54 cm should not be to small???

Rather go for this. My brother in law has one. Very good bike. He did the Argus in 3:30 last year on his.

I am 1.78m and ride a 54. My brother in law and father in law are both around 1.8m and also ride 54cm.
