Only thing that puts me of is that it doesnt have a Pike and 2nd it uses OD2 so you won't be able to sell the fork easily / at all. There is one floating about 2nd hand... I think they were asking 40 or so for it. I saw the 2015 Reign advanced yesterday at Olympic. < R50k and its Carbon, Monarch Plus, Pike RCT, Reverb, XT/Slx. Super nice bike..

Advanced 1 has xx1 and a pike rct and various other bits If it's an advanced 2 with an xt/slx kit and an rct then it's a special build. Especially for 50k!

Even with that spec the price seems low. It is still a carbon front triangle.Was readin a MBUK review this morning of the Riegn Advanced 1 and they scored it 4.5/5 which is something. They said it was amazing!!!!! Article put it's price at 3299GBP and the one they tested didn't have the XX1 either. It did have a travel adjustable Pike though which they say they didn't even use.
s14phoenix Posted January 26, 2015 Posted January 26, 2015 The SX is an awesome bike but it is almost too awesome... the reign is much better at the Enduro type stuff and this bike is overkill for trails etc... Money better spent on a Anthem then Anthem SX then any Trance non SX and next step up is the Reign. I would migrate through the different tiers of MTB that way. the Trance SX is slightly confused if you ask me... Stick a Pike on a Trance 2 or even the standard Trance advanced rather or buy a Reign depending on your skillz or what your intentions are with the girl... 50c in the bucket...

Fork could have been a RC with travel adjust. Def had a Monarch Plus. Its the Advanced 1, not 2. The $8k one is the 0.

It seems Giant is getting it right 9 times of out 10 these days. The life time warantee is also a huge plus.
