LazyTrailRider Posted January 27, 2015 Posted January 27, 2015 on Sunday I had to drop anchor suddenly (while on my ongoing quest to get just a little closer to Ben's times) when we ran across a family with really small kids riding down Vasbyt (luckily we caught them at the open section at the fire road). I'm not complaining by the way, it was great to see a whole family enjoying the trails and the grins on the faces of the two little girls lit up the day. But we do need to be aware that not everybody is on there trying to shave half a second off their best time, some are there to ride slowly and enjoy the place. Most likely the same family I saw riding up the jeeptrack when I was finishing my ride and exiting Fairy Garden. I passed them in the opposite direction with a wide 2m margin and a friendly hello, but still managed to startle the mom a bit... Great to see people enjoying the mountain though!

So true. BTW - you and Harry are ahead of me at the twisties on Vasbyt. We seem to be pretty level at the top and in the flowy bits. Those corners are the death of me... Just can't seem to get into them properly and powr out.
