Dablims Posted January 27, 2015 Posted January 27, 2015 Hi guys. I need some help. Snapped the right side chainstay dropout just behind the derailleur hanger this past weekend. Aluminium Raleigh tandem. Is it possible to repair?Who does these repairs?Can such a small break cause me to chuck the whole frame. Please any help would be greatfull. Regards

They are brilliant with bike repairs. if you don't come right there, you can send the frame with somebody, I will take it to Weidemanns and then send back. Will cost you under R500.00 ZARS to repair
Long Wheel Base Posted January 28, 2015 Posted January 28, 2015 Can definitely be fixed. I got a cannondale tandem that cracked by the rear BB and I took it to a buddy that is a welder and he sorted it out. But I would suggest like Vetseun says and send it to a proper engineering place as I presume it needs to be aligned properly. Photo? Mine was just a crack so no alignment needed.
