LukePurdon Posted February 3, 2015 Posted February 3, 2015 I have built track in hilton next to grace and I would like to build some more track in that forrest, I will be heading into the forrest this weekend (7th Feb) to mark some new track and decide on where I would like to build a new section. I am away the following weekend but I would like to organise a community project to clear the track on the following weekend (21st and 22nd feb). I have previously suggested that I start a MTB club for hilton to fund myself employing people to help me build and clear however I want met with much enthusiasm. The next best thing I can think of to get the hilton riding community together and to improve our trail network is to have the community get together and build a trail. I will be laying the ground work this weekend if anyone would like to join me please get hold of me. I will be needing help on the 21st and 22nd to clear trail and build berms. I would suggest you bring the family and who ever else is keen to come and help out ( I really want this to be a community project where all ages come together and we get to know each other), please bring your own spades and rakes if you have, I will have some tools there but not enough for a crowd. If you are interested in joinng me please PM me and I will get hold of you if you need further information. I will be putting out fliers in the hilton area aswel to advertise the project. Feel free to contact me for a time and place, if all else fails, meet me sometime on this saterday afternoon (7 feb) or in 3 weeks time (21st/22nd feb) (preferably) at the end of the grace college grass, I will be in a white dicovery. LukePurdon Posted February 9, 2015 Author Posted February 9, 2015 Great to meet you at Karkloof Super_mill, I didn't manage to get onto the track this weekend guys but I will have it done and ready to clear before the 21st/22nd, please get mates keen if possible. Will be a great way to get to know everyone. Ill post some pics of my track already built in the next few days. Will also post pics of where I want to build on the mentioned weekend.

I'm unfortunately out for the proposed weekend as I have an enduro (motorcycle) that weekend.How about we start a WhatsApp group for those keen on building? Can just PM numbers to you? (Otherwise I'm happy to sort the WhatsApp group out).That way people can find out about future build days a lot quicker than having to check the Hub all the time.What do you think?
