  1. What a great job, Rob. You've really done that frame justice. Glad it's gone to a good home.
  2. Hey! I did. Sold all my bikes bar the X. Starting running. Been a nice break - almost 4 years! Kids are older now and riding so it’s time to get back into it...
  3. Hi All See ad below if anyone’s interested. Looking at reviving my SS mtb days if someone has a swop... https://www.bikehub.co.za/classifieds/383268-cotic-x-offers-or-swop/
  4. Thanks for the positive feedback Frosty - we're glad you enjoyed our event. Ryanpmb - Husqvarna SA
  5. Done... my Cotic Simple trail machine...
  6. I don't spend that much time here anymore, and only came across this thread today. I shed a tear when a got towards the end and read the sad sad news. Tumbleweed and I shared a common interest in many threads and it's through these interactions and reading many of his posts that I 'know' him. We have never met but he is one of a group of hubbers that I would have liked to have met. To me, the fact that I am so sad over the loss of someone I have not met, is testimony to his character. Tumbles, your pics, comments, stories of your pooches & your presence will be missed. RIP friend.
  7. ...this may have happened ????
  8. Sliding dropout chain tug with a built in hanger probably being used. That, or it's actually a Solaris.
  9. What hubs are they? If possible, change the end caps...
  10. Nice frame
  11. Pic isn't too clear - do the wheels have external spoke nipples?
  12. Means they're about as easy to find as a mermaid.
  13. So did Matthys Beukes refer to Kriss King hubs?...!
  14. His and hers
  15. No right or wrong but the running the tensioner below the chain, pushing up allows the chain the wrap around more of the rear sprocket which isn't a bad thing.
  16. Not as popular as clinchers but they're available. Especially carbon versions. Not ideal to deal with for the average weekend warrior though (that's about 90% of us )
  17. Tubbies have been run in MTB for ages. They offer a lightweight solution for the pros. Nino only runs Dugast tubbies. But, the Crossmarks available above will not be tubbies. They'll be clinchers that require tubes.
  18. I doubt these are tubular tyres. If you used the same rims to convert to tubeless then the tyres you have available fit a normal clincher rim but with tubes. A tubular tyre is different and gets glued to the rim - requires a specific rim, different to a clincher.
  19. Looks good. Just question the Crest rims on that setup?...
  20. Patience son.
  21. Big though...
  22. This just happened...
  23. Maybe not the longest travel frame - but it's sure dreamy for me and is going to be stacks of fun.
  24. This is going to be interesting... if dan 'I change my bike every week' thunders will submit to the TD-1 never to be sold club...
