Anybody know where we can get the results?

My boy had a very good race over the first 2 laps. On the 3rd lap his bike's rear wheel came out, causing him to fall. Luckily only a small fall. His one shifter fell off later on in the lap. We had to tape the shifter back to the handlebar once he got to the tech zone and he had to finish off the race like that. Lots of other boys had technicals causing them to abandon.

results were emailed out today & I see from the FB page that full results will be out on Wednesday.

Thanks Milky. I hope you will be racing this weekend for the next round. It is a great course.

mmm tempting but I'm afraid I've bigger fish to fry, final long distance riding this weekend before the taper starts for Epic.

So how was the course? Does it get trickier throughout the season in terms of technical jumps, gaps etc?

The course was good fun. Lots of climbing and great single track descents. Nothing technical in the route, even though I crashed on the first lap...

I am not sure how the difficulty will increase through the next few rounds.

Pity Tour de PPA is this Sunday. I'm using it as last training ride for Argus road. if I do the XCO my legs will be toast for Sunday. Are you doing Killarney this evening?

No I am skipping Killarney this week, I am a bit tired from the last few weeks of training.

I raced Killarney last Wednesday, Raced the XC on Saturday and then the Tour de Stellenbosch on Sunday.

Some of the younger blokes in the YM and SJB race had a problem with the double switchback at the top which was quite sandy.  From the feed zone we could hear the brakes screaming as they got to it, with some of them going down.  Also quite a few of them busted their tyres on a ditch that crossed the track with some bad rocks in it and had to abandon the race.

BTW, I see Windguru predicts some rain for Saturday morning.  Will be quite interesting to see what happens.  I will once again be in the feeding zone area at the sharp turn after the one decent that seems to catch a few riders out.

I damaged a brand new front rim on that ditch! It was concrete with rocks embedded in it.

Some rain on that course will do good as it was getting loose and sandy. Lets hope it is not too much rain though.
