Damnit - there go my dreams of winning the Argust. Foiled by CSA again!

Not for one second did I ever think CSA and PPA could actually work something out. Maybe they should take their new found working relationship and try to address some of the other issues they have with each other, while they both still have this warm and fuzzy feeling.

and for Comrades and Two Oceans you have to qualify to take part, even though it is not a national championship, but a fun-run. What exactly is your point?

My point since is was missed, was that no matter what we like to think we are all just puppets anyway. Whether it is PPA, who don't seed you unless you become a member or CSA where you need a license to to ride an event longer than 20km or ASA where you need a license to run the two oceans half, or padi where you need a license to scuba dive or the SABC where you need a tv license etc.

Different tune but we all dance.

good to see sanity prevailing, after all the silly politicking was getting nowhere.

As for those who say you need to follow the rules, just because they are the rules. I give you this guy who was not scared to show the UCI how dumb and petty they could be.

I will take the liberty to say on behalf of all licencse cyclist (and some non licensed) and the spectator who like to see the best feild at this event in action - Thank you to all parties involved to working out an agreement on behalf of the cyclists. This does indeed make us “the cyclist” not just feel like “pawn" but rather the people / members that all the parties are serving.

Now the post maybe closed!!!

I better go train now in this gale force SE!!!

I'd still like to know what the details are. If they made a short term compromise that is going to bite us up the road we need to know about it.

I have no idea - but if you a PPA member I am sure you can ask at the next PPA AGM or if you a CSA member I sure you can ask at their AGM. Who know maybe a full press release will be issued on what the details of this was in due course!!

Hope the decission is not to late for the likes of CAV to ride!
