My wife became far less forgiving on cycling while camping when the second one arrived  ^_^  Gonna skip the December camping this year to train for the Attawkas

Never, love my 4 weeks of braai en bier and sand and sea too much, would rather skip Atta.....

Okay, the decision has been made. I'm doing my first Atta in January 2016. This is the biggest campaign I've taken on and I'm super excited.

As I understand it training should consist mainly of hills and TITS with a shortish intervals session once a week for building extra strength. As for the looooong training rides in jhb. Where do you make up the elevation? Breedts and little Breedts only gives 1400m max.

do breedts & little breedts x 2 problem solved.

Skipping the camping, not the braai, bier, sand and sea  ^_^

How many of you chaps will go 1x11 for this event? I'm busy making the move to this and just wondering if it's not a better plan to go 2x10 for this event.

Did the last one single speed. I am done with that race now. It is awesome but a lot of admin for a one day race!

I'm fortunate enough to have family in Sedgefield that will fetch and carry.

Sweet. Think I'll train with 34t and drop to 32t for the race depending how strong I feel I am. Thanks for the advice Mike.

have you done the race before? I always thought I was gonna fit a 34, but never got round to it. In the end I was very glad for my 32
