lechatnoir Posted March 4, 2015 Posted March 4, 2015 Driving home today @ Bakoven, I saw what looked like an old dikwiel that appeared stripped and painted white, chained to a pole and was wondering if this was a salute to a fallen rider? I know they do this in NYC. Perhaps that's something that can alert the public, both motorists and cyclists that the potential for a fatal accident is always near. Has anyone else seen this or other things like it?
DJR Posted March 4, 2015 Posted March 4, 2015 Ghost bike was placed there last Saturday during a PPA Safe Cycling awareness ride as a memorial for the 70 year old rider killed on the spot by a truck the week before. Accident was reported here on The Hub.
