new Bike for beginner

Hi guys , im a bigger and starting of.

so i would like to get the right bike for a beginner thats not crap.

i looked at a few -

- GT Timberline R5 000

- Raleigh rm 6.0 R6 000 ( second hand )

- Titan sport R6 800

- silverback sola 4 R8 600

 

Any advise please guys ???

A good idea would be to get a bike fit to see what size bike to get.

 

As long as the frame is in good condition if buying second hand, it fits you and has semi decent components then all good.

 

Components are replacible so you can upgrade as you go along. Helmut a must also.

Not sure of the bike's specs, but if the Raleigh is the standard specs, R6 000 is too much.

 

If you are new to the sport, rather get a new bike from a reputable bike shop. They will advise you properly and make sure it is set up correctly.

 

If that were my money, I would go Silverback.

Take your time, evaluate what riding you want to do then look at various bikes. Test ride as many as you can then decide. As for an rm6 for 6k wow... Then I should get 8k for my rm7.0 and not 3 like I want. Make sure you have the geogeries for riding in your budget too.
