Graham Holmes Posted March 7, 2015 Posted March 7, 2015 That horrid sound of a spoke snapping followed by the grinding of tyre against carbon...Most of us have been there but when you've faced with the prospect of walking out of the Cradle back to Broadacers, its even less fun.My heart felt gratitude goes out to Rene, one of the marshals working the intersection at the Lanceria turn-off this morning, who selflessly bundled me and bike into her car and drove me back. These guys (and girls) are there week after week for us, helping us and keeping us as safe as they possibly can, when last did you greet them let alone thank them as you ride past? Thanks again Rene.

shaper Posted March 8, 2015 Posted March 8, 2015 We passed you on our way back from the cradle somewhere near to Hereford hotel, did ask if we could help but not much can be done with a busted spoke.. glad the marshals came to your rescue... Otherwise would have been a long walk! Well done to Rene!
