Wow. Amazing to think that this way of life still exists in the "modern" world.

this is a country where the average family survives on $ 50 USD. that in their money is 2500 Afghani, $ 1 USD = 50 Afghani.  This is everything food water car rent.

 

If $ 1 USD = R 8.00 then in our money this is R 400.  Now this start to put into perspective how poor the country really is. BUT some of the drugwarlords are living in mansions while the poor have nothing, sound fimiliar

I've just finished reading the Kite Runner.  What an amazing story.  Also interesting to read how Afgahanistan was 20 years ago....and to see what it is today.

Mrs C women here are nothing, you don't talk to them and when you speak they look down and don't challenge or question anything you say.

 

And being a white you are classified as an american and then some of these people have an instant hate for you.

 

IED's and suicide bombers are the biggest worry.
