Brendan Vogt Posted March 15, 2015 Posted March 15, 2015 Hi, Is it possible to record 8 hours on a Go Pro Hero 3+? I currently have a 64gb card and only records 4:30. I was hoping for a 128 micro SD card but don't think such a card exists.
Raydek Posted March 15, 2015 Posted March 15, 2015 The card should be able to if you set the resolution down with a low frame rate, but unless you have a super extended battery pack it won't help.

I was hoping for a 128 micro SD card but don't think such a card exists.In regards to battery life...then no you will not be able to record 8 hours on your gopro, you would need top swap the batteries out or maybe use the battery backpac. In regards to just being able to store 8 hours, then yes i think that a 128gb card would suffice , and yes you do get 128GB cards, slthough it will be cheaper just to buy an additional 64gb card and swap that out too. I was hoping for a 128 micro SD card but don't think such a card exists. a 128GB card exists, question is will the GoPro be able to read it. But you can drop quality and frame rate that will free up space. There are battery packs that will significantly increase run time. You can keep it in your Camelbak and run a wire to the GoPro - assuming this will be for on-bike use. They are quite pricey though. Have a look HERE
