That spider moves inboard quite a bit.  Is this BB86 / BB386 compatible?

In theory it should be compatible yes. The main goal/ idea behind it was to keep the rings in the same plane as they were - keeping the chain line correct, as well as not having protrusions behind the rings to foul the frame in some applications.

Well it looks like Stages for me...I'm fussy about what pedals I use and I ride a compact 50/34 which I don't think the new PT crank unit caters for.

Do Stages have a Patent on their crank arm unit, just wondering why PT don't do something like that?

Stages do have patents on their system, just as their is a patent on this system, perhaps the biggest downfall of Stages (and a few other crank based systems) is that you HAVE to run Alu crank/s and we have found that some of our clients do not want to do so.

The design intention was to add a power meter that can be fitted to a large majority of bikes sold worldwide without too much disturbance to the rest of the components and still be accurate - i.e. if you have carbon cranks then you don't need to sacrifice them to have a power meter.

Hi Power Tap. Would you know whether the C1 is compatible with the Look Zed2 crank?

Hi Power Tap. Would you know whether the C1 is compatible with the Look Zed2 crank?

from what i can see is yes it should be compatible as the look web page makes mention that the crank is both 110 and 130 BCD the PowerTap rings will be 110 BCD.

Any news on pricing and launch dates in SA for the new powertap devices?

Pricing on the P1 Pedals will be around R15-16000 and the C1 Chainring will be around R10000, hopefully (depending on the R/$ rates). The pedals will be available in S.A early June and the rings early July all going well.

What changes were made to the g3 hub over previous versions?

The road G3 hubs have had no changes done, they are not changing the 32 hole G3 MTB hub as of yet, but they have released a new "road disc" hub which uses straight pull spokes and comes in 28 and 24 spoke configurations that will suit the newer MTB carbon rims like Roval, Syncros etc.

They have managed to shave off about 120-150 grams with this new disc hub.
