General How to contact the Epic race ref?

I still don't know your gripe! Why not just blurt it out. I am pretty sure if there is a problem the race officials will know about it.

Deviation.jpgDid anyone else notice teams deviating from the route about 3-4 kms before WP2? All the teams I was following were way off track before WP2 as well as right near WP2. The deviations looked to be a similar distance to the highlighted route.

 

Yes, I saw the exact same thing - I also asked my riding partner if he had seen it, but I think he might have actually been doing some work.....

could be route change, xterra last month needed new routes due to fires. They just might not have adjusted the track online

The difference was all the teams deviated from the marked track before waterpoint 2. Only RECM went off track at the end of the stage. I'm glad it was corrected, I originally thought they would only add the 13mins on. The penalty seems harsh but consistent with other rulings from previous years though.
