Hi there Hubbers.

I need some help, I've got my old small MTB that I want to convert to a "BMX" so I need to convert it to a single speed. How would I go along doing this?

Are V brakes enough for brakes or do I need to put disc brakes on?

You help would be much appreciated.

Thanks

Pic or model of bike would help.

When you say BMX, what is your intention with this bike? messing around on the BMX track?

doing jumps? Honing your skills on the pump track?

Proper quality V-brakes is more than enough for regular biking, so unless you really want to splash out, you can keep on riding with these.

V-brakes are perfect.

To make it single speed. Remove your shifters and derraleurs, take off your cassette; replace it with some spacers and a single cog. Shorten your chain, fit a tensioner if needed and bob's your uncle.
