Have 26x2.125 kenda tubes with presta valve filled with slime. Got nailed by thorns the weekend slime sealed all accept 2 holes can those be patched and tubes be reused.

Here's how I used to do it:

Inflate the tube nice and fat, don't overdo it...locate the puncture holes.

Make sure the slime is at the bottom end of the tube and the holes top...clean the area, proceed with patch work...let the curing take place and voila!

I have on several occasions found patched slimed tubes start leaking at the patch a while later.Which is counterintuitive as the slime should plug the gap anyway.

Self adhesive patches DO NOT work on slimed tubes.

I do it on my wifes bike without any prob. Only thing is, last week she collected a shait load of thorns resulting in 2 flat wheels. Removed the most, filled the wheels with air but no success, they kept ob going flat. Ps - after i asked my lbs to fill them with slime which worked 2 or3 times.

Before I went tubeless I regularly fixed my slime tubes with patch and solution, like I always did from the days that you used the table spoons to get the tyre off your BMX rim. No issues

I still use spoons when I can't find my levers, much to my wife's disgust????????????. I actually find they work better than levers cos they're longer, so I can get more leverage.
