Ahh damn man that's rough, Especially that you had received a proof of payment which in the end was obviously a fake or the guy had pulled some move with reversing the funds. Hope you get it back. But being a track bike its at least a bit easier for people to spot, unless it goes over the border.

Sorry for your loss but lots of red flags, buyer accepting to pay without seeing bike, not negotiating and sending a "third party"

· 2014-09-06 * 11:56-11:56, 15:20-15:21,16:12-16:13 from Cellphone 083 337 2042, buyer called and spoke to my Son Michael-Tristan Schutte asking about the bicycle and how it worked

Should have asked him to bring you the bike and you will show him, pick handle style.

Always look at available balance (excludes uncleared funds ) rather than account balance.

we keep asking why they keep trying this. It's cause it works, over and over again.

Sorry for your loss, but please ensure you, and anyone you speak to about buying or selling, only parts with goods once cash has cleared in your account or been handed over!! Too often this happens.

Your story is typical, almost exact storyline each time. Wants it for relative, someone else making the payment, sms confirmation, money never clears.

Good luck at getting it back, but for now, accept you paid some school fees.
