They do however have two different versions of it. The one is Red and Black, and the other one is only matt black. I can even see it on the Merida website that the show the red and black one and then have a link to "Additional Models" under which the black only one is listed. My question is, will both of these then be 2008 models, isn't it strange that one bike with exactly the same specs comes out at the same time with different colour schemes?

AndreZA Posted April 2, 2008 Posted April 2, 2008 In the older days you got a model in about 4-6 colours at the same time. It's only now with the high volumes that they make each modle a different colour.Look at Cannondale, there you still get 2 colours for each model.

FreakishlySlow Posted April 2, 2008 Author Posted April 2, 2008 What is the going rate for a good used 2006 model currently? I have no idea. I am planning on keeping this one for a few years(Manangement will not allow me a new one in 12months) so I am buying new, Management approved the decision!

Joss Posted April 3, 2008 Posted April 3, 2008 Merida has different colour schemes in all their models. They try to please more people in order to promote more sales.
