We love the interaction with cyclists and to assist them to shift their own boundaries. It is also a perfect opportunity where we can also showcase our latest products. We are proud to be associated with Wikus van der Walt and his team from Ecobound MTB Adventures.” says Charl du Plessis from Extreme Lights. The Trans Baviaans is one of South Africa’s premier mountain biking events, this mountain bike marathon creates the perfect combination of extremely challenging cycling amongst spectacular scenery through exquisite mountain ranges, right into the heart of the magnificent Baviaanskloof Wilderness Area, all in a team format. The distance of 230 km from Willowmore to Jeffrey’s Bay must be completed in 24 hours to qualify for a medal, and is a test of personal mettle. The Trans Baviaans Mountain bike Race on 15 August 2015 was sold out within 24 hours. A second race will be held one week later, on 22 August 2015. Entries for the second race are nearly fully subscribed as well.
