Trying to keep up my Fighting Spirit,

Doing the Only thing i Know how to!

Discomfort on the bike, not breathing properly due to over tighting my backpack ontop of my gear.

Hello Guys & Gals

Here I was on my way back home from a long ride, 115 km.

I was toast/ i hit the wall and pushed on, I probably did look a sorry site.

On approaching the dorp, I heard some voices behind me, i heard them comment how slow I was pedalling.

Well I did not hang around to chat.

I stopped at the petrol station to get some coke and a chocolate.

Whilst getting ready to leave the cafe, look who arrives. The 3 local youngsters, still wanting to chirp me, hey where you going.

Still feeling very groggy, I pedalled on my way towards my home.

Now I am always very aware of my surroundings, approaching cars, cars slowing down or racing.

I try to hold a good line and stay out of harms way.

When I noticed a car up ahead, approaching me slowly, turns left, stops dead in the side street, drives off and stops again.

I am now suddenly wide awake.

As I passed the intersection, I see the car idilling at the side of the road.

I carried on.

Next minute later I hear a car approaching, slows down next me.

What now?

Young Dude, from Remax estate, Jacuqes.

Wanted to know if I WAS OK?

Told him I was tired, returning from a long ride.

Was concerned and wanted to check if I was alright.

In my defence, I did have my Red light flashing off Morse code, SOS.

Thank You Jacques for showing your concern.

Probably a MTB biker.

I was cycling to a Guy to deliver his purchase, a distance of 70km one way.

He met with me just short of 10km from his place.

JHB na that's too far.

:D That's what working too much will do to you, make you frail!

Been 6months off the bike.

Frustrating when you can't get to ride.

wow.... great to know theres concerning motorists (must be a cyclist).

Thing i learned is that you never look as bad as you feel on your bike so i take it you looked very tired! Recover well mate and be safe, for the motorist a BIG THUMBS UP!!!

Just an Update.

I suffered indigestion and nausea due to my rucksack/ backpack been secured too tight.

Tested my kit on a ride yesterday.

After finishing a fabulous ride, still felt strong.
