3m rubber mastic tape

Does anyone know where to get hold of the 3m rubber mastic 2228 for down tune protection. Thanks

I found a product by the hardware i think its a 3m product not sure its looks like a roll of rubber with out any adhesive and is used to patch hoses that have a cut in them.

 

cost me like R30-R40 I cant seem to get the name of it,

butyl tape should be available from most electrical wholesalers as well.

Its used for waterproofing electrical connections.

I wouldn't use it, stuffs sticky as hell and will pick up all the mud along the way.

Its also a pain to remove and more often than not a knife is used to cut it away.

 

Seems like the Butyl tape and the 3m one isnt exactly the same so I cant comment on 3m one

I have a few rolls of Contran kc80 you are welcome to it i also have a box of 3M rolls but need to have a look for it

Yes thick rubber sticky one side used for electrical cabling up to 1000 volts
