Raydek Posted June 30, 2015 Posted June 30, 2015 Looking for the caps that close the housing of the shifters once the indicators are removed. SLX 3x10 shifters. Part 5 in the pic. Called a few LBS's and they understand what I am looking for but have never seen them. Anyone out there possibly have some that they are willing to part with or could point me in a direction...

ALLMTB Posted June 30, 2015 Posted June 30, 2015 When I still had SLX shifters, I removed the indicators and noticed that the 'cap' was attached to the back of the indicators. Same with my GF's 9 speed XT shifters.Look at the first pic: http://singletrackworld.com/forum/topic/xt-and-slx-shifters Not sure if its the same with your SLX shifters though.

rock Posted July 1, 2015 Posted July 1, 2015 before shimano used to make the cover plates, we just stuck a peice of tape on the shifer to keep the dirt out. sometimes we were fancy and cut a small circlular piece out of a sheet of that fake carbon fiber adhesive sheeting.
