There are two methods of performing a bunnyhop. The first, known as an American bunnyhop, involves the rider lifting the front wheel of the bike before the back wheel. The second technique, called an English bunnyhop, involves both wheels being lifted at once, and is typically easier to do when the rider is using clipless bicycle pedals.

This thread has been dormant for a while but I just wanted to add my own experience in case somebody is looking for a skills coach (as I was). Chris Nixon is fantastic. He forces you to get the fundamentals right and gives you "homework" training drills. Everything he shows you has a purpose, which can he can illustrate for you on his own bike there and then. The training area has a brilliant pump track where you can go through a lot of what you have just been taught. And to top it all off, he's a really modest and laid-back guy. As someone else here has mentioned, no ego's involved, he just wants to make you a better rider (and make a living i guess).
