Warning for clyclists in the Blue Hills 08/04/2008 11:46:23
Cyclists have been warned to be careful when riding in the Blue Hills area near Kyalami.

Three cyclists were confronted by 10 knife-wielding men who'd been hiding in the grass near an open field, popular with riders.

It's understood they were robbed of their bikes and other belongings. This is apparently the third such incident in a month. Dave Tudor says he was attacked in the area over a week ago. Back to headlines

Yip. We trained there last week. It is at the same time as always 5-7 PM. We went on into the night' date=' but they might start closing it a bit earlier.[/quote']

thank you.

now, if i can get up early enough to put the bike in the car(car not in garage) i'm thinking of trying out this race track thing. Big%20smile spinning really gets a bit boring now.

The mornings I'm not sure of, but it is ope in the afternoons. Spinning is cool but not everyday during the week. But as the night get longer I spend more time in the gym than on the road.

I hear you brother. I come from Sandton and leave work at 16H15 if I'm lucky. Get at the track at 17H15 and try and do some high intensity training for 10 to 13 laps. Best training I've ever done was on the track !

So do i understand that it's only open for two hours on weekday evenings? 5-7pm? And can we not speak to management at Kyalami to try get it opened on the weekends from say 8 - 12?

You can go onto their website www.kyalamiracing.co.za for their telephone numbers and try .... I know that they are only open in the week in the afternoon's maybe they are in the mornings as well but 5 AM in the winter is a bit cold for this old Pretoria boytjie.
