  1. I think if LA opened his mouth , the cycling world would **** it self!!! if he spills the beans on who was involved and how . His covering up alot of peoples asses by not speaking (including his own) . I think if he stood up and threw out all the names involved over the years that road racing would die!

    Chris Froome

Just a Question. If Cav wins , does the whole team recieve a gold medal?
  3. Now!!!!!! Thats a bike!!!!! Don't want to steal your thunder... but here's mine

    Ride for Sight

I went down in this crash aswell. Managed to avoid the main fall . but some clown rear ended me , Just came out of hospital. Broken Thumb ......and a cast for 6 weeks...there goes SA's
  5. I was told by the organiser that you race the event in the category you'll be riding in 2012. therefore I'll be seeing you in the 40-44 cat
  6. Did you know that if you are currently 29 years old and only turning 30 in 2012 you can race vets 30-34 inorder to qualify for the main event in 2012. I'm 39 , and have been told that I'll be racing in the 40-44 category at Msunduzi
  7. To me Evans is looking the strongest at the moment. I just wonder if he's going to pay for all these efforts later in the mountains like on stg 1 chasing Gilbert , stg2 putting in BIG turns on the front in the TTT and trying to get the yellow off Thor's back on stg4.
  8. Just enetered!..BTW, I'm a medium(54) if you need to order it so long!
  9. Training...yes. But getting a bit looong in the tooth . You laatjies are hurting me in the racing
  10. Yip. Stg 12 is when we'll all see who's got the legs to win it . Like "Kontadoor" said after yesturdays stage: "From here on, he said that it “will be a different Tour, we will face it with another point of view. The important thing now is to pass the days until we reach the mountains to see how we are.” And, after all, the mountains are “my forte."
  11. I don't need to explain anything to a little "know it all" like yourself. Now run along and go watch the tour . should be starting soon.
  12. You sound like another one of those guys that think just because you ride a bicycle you know every thing about "pro racing" .
  13. Planet X......Naaa...never! Always been here ....just don't have that much to say.
  14. Don't spend money ! The formula is easy!....Train as hard as you want to race!
  15. This is great news!!!! Strength versus strength is the way forward. I only hope that the seeding index is kept accurate . One doesn't want to race cat 2 one weekend and then find out the following weekend you've been seeded down in cat 4 after spending R200 on an entry. I hope there's some accurate way of monitoring your racing cat before you spend your money . I'd still like to know how many 30+ vets teams want to race every weekend with the elites? How do these teams benifit the Pro's? I don't see 10 or 20 working class old toppies holding onto Malcoms wheel help improve elite racing. And!!! lets be honest! How many "REAL" vets 30+ teams are there? Most are self funded friends racing in the same kit. Do these so called vets teams race there repective categories at SA's or do they race elites? Either way !! I'm in for "strength versus strength".
  16. If it could bugger up any sort of conviction then SSG would not have sent out this to "ALL" its email recipeints
  17. Also got this email from my SSG security company: Dear Chair Person Do anyone of your residents maybe had an encounter with this man? Well he is now in jail at Midrand SAPS due to work of SSG investigators as part of the dream team put together to fight crime. (Dream Team consist of eBlockwatch, Tracker and SSG) The bicycle was positively identified by the victim yesterday! If your residents do recognise him please contact SSG 011 5183600 and ask for Ollie. We want more victims that can link him to other similar crimes. Together we can take the streets back from criminals!!!
  18. Well said Spidey!!!! can't agree with you more! elite/under23 race together = longer distance there after strength versus strength cat racing. most vets train in the dark and have full time jobs and families. I have NO interset in racing with guys that do this for a living. If we take a fall in a race , we have to scrape ourselves together and show up for work on monday morning , not take weeks off for recovery cause your team doctor told you to do so. CSA need to be carefull how they go about all of this . Most of us are tired of there *** service and expensive race entry fees . most of us fun riders would rather go for a lekker weekend training ride with our buddies than slog it in traffic on a friday to collect a race number for some bum 90k race. All there rules and regulations are making alot of us lose interest in racing.....my2c.
  19. Your investigation isn't to good! Two very different wheel sets. 101's have the new 2010 Zipp hubs , same as the new 303's or 404's etc. Plus they are built into a alu. rim , not carbon.
  20. This is a difficult one!!! I've been Hi Jacked twice now. The first time I managed to get away, second time I was tackled off my bike for a cell phone and cash. They even wanted to cut my finger off to get my wedding ring. Lucky for me I managed to pull lose and get it off myself. I believe all the Bike jacking publicity we getting lately is only adding fuel to the fire . You can patrol a danger area and the thugs will only move else where. go on radio and give them all the idea that we got expensive bikes and that we are easy targets to make a quick buck!! For me the Hi jacking was nothing!! compared to what I feel like now every time I go out and ride . I see someone walking down the road and can feel the hair on my neck stand up!! I'm constantly looking around every dark bush or corner to try see if there's someone waiting for me .Eventually after all this worring you end up not enjoyng riding your bike! I don't believe we'll be able to make impact into these jackings . This is a country where millions are living off crime.I don't stand behind all this shouting on radios and newspapers that we are fed up .All we doing is giving more thugs ideas!
  21. He says it was the supply of cough syrup you gave him which forced him to GO there and then!
  22. To try and be serious about this topic for a minute: I don't think that sanction is what's required here. Nobody in their right mind takes a dump in the road. Therefore' date=' somebody needs to ensure the oke gets proper treatment. Perhaps a responsible teammate could ensure he sees a shrink? [/quote'] I didn't want to get involved in this topic as I wasn't there so didn't see it , although some of the chirps were really funny in a sick way! I'm going to take this up with the rider as this is unacceptable! I just wonder if it really happened right slap bang on the tar road or was it not on the side of the road/bush at the start line? either way!! sick!!
