Garmin Express does not connect to my Garmin.

Hello, I've been having issues with the Garmin express program. I can see my Garmin on my computer but when i launch Garmin express to upload my rides, it does not see my Garmin. I have a mac and I've reseted  my Garmin and reinstalled Garmin express multiple times. I can download my files directly and my Garmin also connects to other computers but not mine. Any advice?

I have the same problem, I ended up uninstalling Garmin express and just using the ANT+ software, I have a Garmin FR410, which Garmin do you have

The edge 500. What is the Ant?

Edge 500 is not Ant+ so you have no need to worry about it, or whether is affects the upload.

 

Maybe plug your garmin in, then scandisk to see if there are any issues on the garmin hard drive.

 

Reinstall latest Express and try again, else you may have to take it to Garmin service centre Navworld http://www.navworld.co.za/contact/

 

if you have to go to navworld, take your Mac and Garmin

Uninstall first. Clear you temp internet files folder and reinstall. Had the same issue last week when I updated my edge 510.

 

Ccleaner is a good cleanup tool and its freeware.
