Yeah this is a bit of a deficit, supposed to only eat that little till you get to your target weight.

Problem is, my target weight keeps shifting...

As you get lighter and faster, you move up the seedings and find yourself in faster company and therefore need to get faster and lighter again :)

I eat the cheese instead of the meats to try get the fat content up a bit, it helps stem the hunger.

just had 40g cheddar. Yesterday's huge deficit caught up a bit.

I'm basing my intake on a sedentary lifestyle, and wanting to lose 1kg per week. That means that my daily intake is limited to 1.500 kcal (like yours) but I also exercise. And don't make that exercise up when considering my intake for the day

Yesterday I ended up with a net  -80kcal. Food intake of 1,404 & exercise of 1,424... I tend to leave the largest meal of the day for dinner, as that's the meal I enjoy the most...

Today could be very similar. I'm probably going to make steak & veg with a red wine sauce & potato wedges.

When you say 1500kcal per day is that 1500 calories per day?

Yeah. It's not a lot by any means, but I'm not actually hungry for more.

I'm also limiting myself to that cos I want to lose 1kg per week or so, and in order to do that I need to have a daily "deficit" of 1000 calories

As an indication, 1500kcal is the same as a 300g steak, a buddy coke and some chips. Add some sauce and you're over that

Yeah. It's not a lot by any means, but I'm not actually hungry for more after eating that little. I could definitely eat a shedload more if I put my mind to it (or if it was in front of me) but for now, and until I get to my "goal weight" then it'll be like that

You will lose more than a KG a week if you consume that little and train that hard

Yeah I know. That's the plan. Sometimes work happens and I can't ride, so I'm eating with that in mind. Plus my job isn't exactly physically demanding

Just be careful doing it this way as things will initially go well but before you know it your body needs more fuel and you could end up going on a binge to a point of no return. Another thing I have found that has worked for me recently work wise is whenever I go to a site or a client I park as far as possible, you will be surprised how many extra steps you take which equals more calories burnt. My one site is located at the bottom of a very steep hill. I park at the very top and walk down and back up to the car at least 3 times a day

There is about 7700cals in a Kg of body fat.

Yep. But I'm trying to train as much as I can. I ride 3 days a week (90 minutes wed & Fri and 3h sundays) but I've also been able to ride yesterday and today.

If I lose muscle mass, I can build it back up. Doing bodyweight exercise when I can as well, so I shouldn't, but I might. For more concerned about my spare tyre though.

Are you sure your body won't go into starvation mode with that big energy deficit?

It might, but I've certainly got enough reserves. If it does, then I'll adopt a different strategy, and increase my intake. I have 23kg to lose though, so there's a long road ahead. Also need to be careful of what fabes said...

I think some of you okes have the wrongexpectations.

This is not meant to be a wonder diet that makes you lose weight quickly. It is just a healthier lifestyle.

You will loose weight if you eat less than what you burn, no matter what you eat. If you replace the sugar with tons of other calories of whatever sources you will definitely not lose weight  :D  :D  :D
