Griffin Posted September 10, 2015 Share Anyone coming to Howick Trails to check out what you will be riding (and maybe get some sneaky practice in for the race) please note the following : - The course is not yet set(in fact, its secret and wont be set till a few hours before the event)- You riding the set course blind..no practice prior too or on the day- If you are not an annual member of Howick MTB Club then please ensure you have paid your trail fee AND have a day indemnity. If you are a annual member please display your board. If you don't you are trespassing and will be escorted from the trails and banned from the event. This is non-negotiable- Trail Fee/Day indemnity is available at the honesty boxes at Crusty Corner (Greendale Center), Howick Hospital and Howick Cycles. Crusty Corner and Howick Hospital both have SnapScan QR codes as a payment facility if you go there after hours. Trail fee is R40 per person, per day- NO shuttling is allowed. Ever. You will be banned and any un-authorized vehicles found in the forest will have their tyres deflated- It is very dry out in the forests and if the FDI for the day is orange or red then the trails will be closed. - No helmet, no ride (no brain) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

The Potato Shed is willing to offer a stay two get the third free offer at their cottage, at a rate of R2000.00 per night, for up to 6 people. Impangele BnB have hosted a number of MTB riders in the past as well as the MTN Quebeka SA team in January 2014 for their 2 week training camp prior to SA Champs. Very close to both Howick trails and literally a short pedal to onto the Karkloof trails.
