We already had 17 mm in Heidelberg.Unfortunately our rainmeter broke, but we had a fair bit of rain already, if I stand correct, tomorrow would not be that rainy. Route will be okish on the mini, just the part in Jonkersberg might be a bit muddy, but otherwise it is normal gravel roads. If the wind picks up like forecasted ground will dry up quite quickly.

(Potentially the first finish though.) Note to myself this time: Ride with a bib this time and arrive at the spur station without having sand/dust down my crack with an 'over the bar' tumble and slide on my back. The resulting grinding paste literally brought me to a to grinding stop when you cross the tar road the second time. Could not sit for 3 days. Worst injury on a bike EVER The exact same happened to me, fell in the jeep track before waterpoint 3, yard sale of note. My ass was rubbed raw from the sand down the back of my shirt..... and into my bib. A rather unpleasant post race shower and few days after... : ]

A rather unpleasant post race shower and few days after... : ]Take note, steep decline from Groot Brak munisipal water dams with a sharp turn left into Pine Creek on a 2 spoor cement downhill, many a rider misjudge that left turn and the downhill. One will come down to a cement burn (not grass burn) and once you entered the park grounds there is a similar sharp turn again to your left just after the silver parrafin tenk.

Almost saw my mielie there too.
