To be fair None of those products are manufactured in SA

Ok, if it has to be thought up, made and sold here, then the only thing we are good at is a propper South African around the braai MOAN, espcially the MBTers moaning about dirt roadies :ph34r:

I have just seen Kitted Narrow wide chain rings Says "made in RSA" any good?

Kitted make some really great quality chainrings.

With the Rand /Dollar going up the way it has , more SA brands need to pop up. We are going to pay dearly for import products.

Some of the parts are, they all are designed, prototyped and developed in SA though.

Not really, manufacturing is but one part of a product. Design and prototyping are the IP (heart) of a product, not it's source of manufacture.

SA can't compete in terms of cost of production.

That's for sure!

We'll be riding steel frames and cheap china group sets very soon!

Unless we SA'ers can start to make our own cycle stuff.

I'm a firm believer that we have enough clever local engineering talent to create proper local cycle gear.
