Journey for Sight Update:
Dear members and committed cyclists.
We do understand your frustration about Journey for Sight being rescheduled for the 7th of February and that there would be 2 events on the same weekend.
To try and move an event to another date,without having to lodge new event applications with the City,is not a simple matter. Approved applications can't simply be transferred.We had the 7th reserved for Bay City,but the organisers couldn't decide whether to put ...the event on or not. We are now working with the organisers of the Bay City to host the event later, possibly in March.

 

We have looked at the comments received on this platform, by phone and email and we are trying to accommodate your demand to not have the Journey for Sight on the weekend of the 99er.
We will only know by Monday or Tuesday whether the start/finish venue is available for the 14th of February. We have spoken to one of the managers at the Fishoek Sports Complex and,requesting the facilities for the 14th of February. He is taking the request to his committee and said he will get back to us by next week.
We will communicate the outcome as soon as we have their reply.

Event Update:

The 2016 Olympic Cycles Pres Les Foord Asset Journey 4 Sight n Service Cycle Tour has been moved to the 14th of February 2016. There will be a PPA event (Scenic South),taking place on the 7th of February 2016.This is effectively the Bay City event which the organisers have elected not to run this year.

Both events will make use of the same venue and route. The start/finish venue will be the Silverglade Sports Centre in Nelson Road, Fish Hoek.

If you have entered for the Journey for Sight event and do not wish to ride on the 14th, please apply to queries@racetec.co.za for a refund and re- enter for the event scheduled for the 7th of February 2016. If you would like to participate in both events,simply enter online for the Scenic South.

Details as well as the entry link for the Scenic South will be published on our website shortly…

Really enjoyed it! Even though I am a fun rider I am happy with my sub 1h40 time. Excellent conditions and the folks in H-J start group rode like professionals.
