Fisan Posted January 6, 2016 Posted January 6, 2016 During the festive season I OTB'ed pretty hard. A few cracked bones were complimented with a nastily scratched Suunto Ambit (the bikes fine - thanks for asking). The watch still works, but the Iron-rich-Caperock-scratch across the screen is just plain annoying (luckily not cracked). What options do I have to remove this?* can you buff out a scratch? (the glass is receded in the bezel)* glass replacement options? (I know of Ultimo) I'm on mobile so I'll attach a photo when I get a chance. Thanks for the advice!
WrightJnr Posted January 6, 2016 Posted January 6, 2016 Eina!!! That would drive me nuts!! I'm watching his thread. Hope you come right.
Fisan Posted February 2, 2016 Author Posted February 2, 2016 For those who have Suunto watches (Ambit or other) in need of repair....happening to stumble on this thread...behold! The repaired Ambit 2. http://i.imgur.com/y0C0Q5D.jpg I contacted Suunto SA via twitter. They responded almost immediately (on a Saturday afternoon!). Handed watch in at local Bike Shop. Local Suunto Rep took it to ULTiMO (Official SA Suunto Repair Shop). They replaced the bezel, glass and battery (on my request) for a reasonable price. It was a long chain of people to contact, but everyone very friendly and responsive. Very happy to still own a Suunto. Yes, that's the Bezel of the Ambit 1. At first I didn't think much of it since the physical design didn't change between the Ambit 1 and 2 - only hardware. Only when I received the watch I remembered of the "print"-difference. Eh, don't really mind, now I have a Limited Edition Ambit 2.
