I don't own one, but they get good reviews in international MTB mags. For the price, you could look at offerings from Santa Cruz and Specialized too. Which Yeti are you looking at? Go to www.mtbr.com for reviews on MTB bikes.

You are new and you are looking into a Yeti? You're gonna loose all the fun off riding a hardtail.

Anyway, they are good bikes mut not as good as a SantaCruz.

These boys have been making quality bikes for many a year. Going way back to the Lawill designed Straight 6 DH bike.

Always been a fan.

Some of the best performing and best looking bikes out there. Better than Morwood and Santa Cruz in my opinion(those two are just biased)

A friend had a ASR-SL for a couple years and sold it recently to get a 29er.

He had no problems and really loved the bike.

Have a look at Santa Cruz, Intense, Titus, Turner, Ventana....all in the same league.

If you're getting a bike in the 4-5 inch travel range then I have to urge you to seriously(and I do mean SERIOUSLY!!!) consider a 29er bike ie 29inch diameter wheels as opposed to normal 26.

They are THE sh*t!!!!

he spotted a yeti on bikebay going for R15000, and he was askin me if it was a good buy.
