Mondino Posted January 13, 2016 Share Good evening All, So Cape Town Cycle Tour 2016 is getting on the radar and looking at the available options to get there from JHB. Since our Bank notes are becoming less and less of value I'm exploring the ways of getting down and possibilities. Does anyone know of say special clubs or riding clubs going down to join? Others are of course: - Flying and the crazy prices associated - Driving down- Train- Bus

Malpiet Posted January 14, 2016 Share I know a couple of guys that come down via train and they love it. But I have never used a long distance train so I cant comment on it.
Long Wheel Base Posted January 14, 2016 Share Train is a good experience and they not bad in the way of condition BUT its a very long trip(I haven't done the JNB-CPT but know people who have). A few years back I compared train vs plane vs car on train vs hire car for the ARGUS and I ended up flying and hiring a car. So it wasn't as cheap as you think(take into account I have a double cab and would have had to pay double to get it there than a normal car).
